Sunday, September 8th. 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
I am delighted to bring you this workshop where we will learn and taste the nuances of homegrown Arkansas tomatoes while also painting some.
Special guest speaker, Chuck Rutherford who is Beth’s Dad and the president of the Fayetteville Farmers Market is going to bring a variety of his tomatoes for us to taste. He will also share his passion and knowledge for these favorite fruits.
Some of the varieties we will be tasting are: Giant Belgium, Caspian Pink, Brandy Wine, Bumblebee purple, Beefy Boy, Big Boy, and Parks Whopper. I will also be serving a sampling of Gazpacho, a refreshing cold soup made with my Dad’s tomatoes.
Chuck will also have some of his tomatoes for sale if you want to take home a quart or more.
Let’s not forget about watercolor painting too. After the education on tomatoes I will lead you in painting a watercolor of these bright red summer treats.
No experience needed.
I HOPE YOU WILL JOIN ME FOR THIS CREATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY WITH ME AND MY DAD.
